Summary of the Entergy Texas Timberland Project Video
– Hi, I’m Philip Hundl. I’m an attorney with Wadler, Perches, Hundl and Kerlick. My practice area focuses on land litigation, primarily representing land owners in condemnation matters.
I’d like to talk about a current condemnation project that’s going on. It’s a power line project called the Timberland Project, and it’s a project by Entergy Texas Inc., a power company in Texas. It’s a 230 KV high voltage transmission line and there are some substation projects for this transmission line as well.
According to the information we’ve received, there are several proposed routes of the power lines in Liberty County, Montgomery County, and Jefferson County, running to different existing power substations. It has been a kind of on-again, off-again project. Now it looks like it’s on-again and land owners are being contacted.
Entergy Texas is negotiating either fee simple land condemnation, which is actually selling the land for the substation areas, and also some easements for the high voltage transmission lines. We have some maps of those proposed routes. We’ll link them to the website. Also, we’ll have a link to Entergy’s website related to the project and more information about the project as well.
Hope this information about the Entergy Texas Timberland Project is helpful for you. With all these condemnation projects that may effect your land, please seek legal advice or representation from an attorney who is familiar with condemnation matters. With that, good luck.
